Winter Landscape

The idea came from an early spring walk, just when winter ends. Its the times when colours change again, when nature is preparing for a new set of cloth. I was fascinated by the colouring I saw. I watched the first colourful spots that appeared behind the melting snow in front of me, full of brown – green – grey shades, there were dull, dirty colours, it felt like they were full of melancholy and sadness... they spoke to me, they touched me. I fell in love with these colours. I had to use them for my tapestry.

Dimensions of the work: height 183 cm, width 200 cm.
