Tapestry is hand-made, wall hanging wool art. Manufacturing a single tapestry is a long process that requires patience, the preparation alone can take as much as half a year.

In the Czech Republic, the word gobelin primarily served as the product name for products made in the Manufacture des Gobelins, a factory in Paris where this name originated. In English, the word tapestry is usually used for the same thing. It is of French origin and it is used in some variations in all European languages.

It is therefore an ancient art form that I came across when I studied, and since then tapestries have become my main form of expression.
